About the author
Sonia Gable BSc, ATII is a tax consultant specialising in the taxation of individuals and small companies. She became an Inland Revenue Inspector of Taxes after studying at Imperial College, London. Since leaving the former Inland Revenue, now HM Revenue and Customs, she has worked in the tax technical department of a leading firm of accountants and as a consultant in personal, property and commercial taxation matters for a City of London solicitors' practice. She now advises on capital gains, income and corporation tax planning as well as representing taxpayers in HM Revenue and Customs investigations and disputes.
