Description

At one level, this book is simply to help employers to cope with the vast quantities of statistical data of which they need to be aware. Tables have been compiled specifically for employers, reflecting the particular needs of those working with employment taxes.

The book contains more than just figures, though. It also gives an essential overview of many of the key recent technical changes of which employers need to be aware. This includes 20 summaries of recent tax cases (covering everything from employment status to company cars), a list of more than 20 recent statutory changes from new primary legislation in 2010 and 2011, and details of well over 50 changes made this year to HMRC’s key Employment Income Manual.

The book also provides an overview of HMRC guidance on employment tax matters.

Statutory and website references are provided throughout to enable employers to research further if required.

The book is up to date as at 1 September, including mileage rates applying from that date.
